Waiting to Exhale

A decade ago, there was a very popular book which later became a movie. The story centers on four female friends living in the Phoenix, Arizona area and their relationships with men and one another. All of them were “holding their breath” until the day they can feel comfortable in a committed relationship with a man. The movie was Waiting to Exhale. The whole story was about women who were suffering in one way or another; they had loved men who were unfaithful, abusive and non committal. They loved men, who would not or could not truly love them.
